Paris-based luggage brand formally launched its French Riviera-inspired Spring/Summer 2017 Collection in the Philippine market at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall last May 18.
Lipault’s collection, which modeled base colors Almond Green, Riviera Blue, and Pink Gold, aimed to embody the sunny aura of the French tourist haven.
“We’re excited to show off the latest with Lipault, how this season’s collection celebrates the land of lavender and cicadas,” Ciely Buenviaje, Samsonite Group’s country manager, said.
The pieces are patterned with their “plume” branding— Miss Plume, Original Plume, Foldables, Plume Vinyl, Lady Plume, Plume Elegance, Urban Plume, Plume Business, Plume Premium, City Plume, Lucky Plume, and Plume Accessories.
“From the bags, luggage pieces, the leather goods, and the accessories, the feel of a Cote Azure summer shines through with our latest offerings,” Buenviaje added.
The fashion event, which was graced by fashion icons and social media influencers, was greeted with a talk by Buenviaje and was followed by a fashion show accompanied by live Parisian music.
Revealing the collection in the fashion show were the “Belles of Lipault” which consists of fashion bloggers Vernice Enciso and Camille Co, lifestyle bloggers Stephanie Zubiri and Cat Arambulo-Antonio, sports anchor Cesca Litton, and actress Tweetie de Leon-Gonzales.
Lipault is locally distributed by luggage retailer Samsonite. In 2014, the Hong Kong-based brand acquired Lipault to expand its brand portfolio.
Lipault Philippines currently has 14 boutiques nationwide, with 13 located in Metro Manila and one in Cebu.
