Filipinos can be sentimental and romantic. But alternative tunes can be as touching as ballads if it strikes the right chord or feeling.
Side A has been singing their pop cover songs and ballads since they started. Their fans always ask them to sing “Foolish Heart” but they all agree that “Forevermore” is the most romantic song for them. Aside from expressing their undying devotion to their wives, they said they were feeling romantic when they composed that song.
Barbie Almalbis votes for “Crazy Love” by Van Morrison. “It’s intense without being too mushy.”
Pops Fernandez singles out Ronan Keating’s “When You Say Nothing At All, ” because love shouldn’t just be said, it should also be felt. “That song expresses how I love my sons, Robin and Ram. Actions speak louder than words. I always try to show them how important they are to me. Even if I’m working, they are always on my mind.”
Maine Mendoza: “My go-to-kilig song is “When You Say Nothing At All,” because it comes from my favorite movie, “Notting Hill.” It makes me swoon every time I hear it.”
Alden Richards: “I feel the emotion of the song everytime Bruno Mars sings, ‘Too Good To Say Goodbye.’ Damang-dama mo siya.”
