This Thursday, January 23, 2020, marks the 60th anniversary of PhilLife Financial, which has always had the goal of moving Filipinos’ lives. Having served over a billion Filipinos in the last 60 years, PhilLife Financial has helped its clients reach their own aspirations through its financial products like investment plans, individual and group life insurance, and financial assistance programs.
PhilLife Financial began serving Filipinos as a life insurance company in 1960. In the 1980s, PhilLife Financial launched an insurance program specifically made for public school teachers, making it one of the first in the Philippines to partner with the then-Department of Education, Culture, and Sports (now Department of Education) to provide both life insurance coverage and salary loan financing to public school teachers. Since then, more and more Filipinos, especially teachers, have trusted PhilLife Financial and enjoy the benefits of the company’s financial products.
“Being around for 60 years indeed speaks a lot about stability. With this, we take pride in our commitment to move Filipinos’ lives,” said Mr. Eusebio H. Tanco, Executive Committee Chairman of PhilLife Financial.
“PhilLife Financial’s mission to provide Filipinos with the quality service needed to help them in their daily lives is indeed a source of empowerment, and that’s why it has been around for so long,” stated Mr. Monico V. Jacob, Chairman of PhilLife Financial.
PhilLife Financial not just enjoys the trust of its policyholders, clients and beneficiaries, but also of government regulators. Insurance Commissioner Dennis Funa also shared his congratulations to the company for reaching its 60th year: “I take great pride to see one of our domestic insurance companies as having reached this very significant milestone… Continue to serve [fellow Filipinos] by providing quality financial and investment products to assure them of a secure future.”
Now on its 6th decade of service, PhilLife Financial has decided to further its mission of moving Filipinos’ lives by giving back.
Just this January 12, Taal Volcano erupted and has affected over 90,000 people across several cities, especially in Batangas. According to the government, it will take 60 days before people can return to their homes, leaving them in evacuation centers.
Considering that this is a time of crisis for the thousands affected by Taal’s eruption, the company will begin its anniversary thanksgiving activities with #PhilLife60for60. In partnership with Red Cross Philippines and Arnel Pineda Foundation, Inc., PhilLife Financial is providing support to those affected by the eruption during those 60 critical days wherein the victims must be away from their homes.
Mr. Joseph Augustin L. Tanco, President of PhilLife Financial, shared: “We want to continue helping out, which is why we’re happy to partner up with Red Cross to provide aid to the Taal victims. We have been blessed with 60 long years, and so we want to share anything that would help our fellow Filipinos get back up on their feet and live longer lives.”
PhilLife Financial moves forward into its 60th year by touching the lives of others and by doing its best to continue serving the Filipino people.
