When Korean pop music got more and more recognized in the Philippines, so did Korean cuisine — particularly, Korean barbeque or Samgyupsal. Now, it seems like everyone and their mother is opening up their own samgyupsal joint to take advantage of the booming business concept.
Such was the case in BF Parañaque, where almost every corner of Aguirre avenue was decked with Korean barbeque restaurants. But as exciting as that sounds (if you’re a fan of all things Korean), it can also be overwhelming as it presents the age-old dilemma of “saan tayo kakain?”
We usually answer that question with whichever food joint we think we’ll get the best bang for our buck at. However, a lot of the newer samgyupsal places also price their promos at competitive rates.
This leaves us further weighing our options and thinking of the differences between each restaurant. And if you’ve been to several samgyupsal places, those differences usually only mean varying amounts of side dishes and meats, and whether you get some melty cheese on the side or not.
So, what makes another Korean barbeque restaurant like YES Samgyupsal any different from the plethora of other options you get along Aguirre avenue? Well, for one thing, YES Samgyupsal offers a couple of other protein choices (besides pork and beef, and the occasional chicken) that you don’t commonly see at other samgyupsal places — one of which seafood lovers will definitely appreciate.
Calling all surf and turf lovers
Unlimited shrimp anyone? If you answered with a resounding “yes,” then you’d pretty much get why the place is called “YES Samgyupsal.”
That’s not all. You also get unlimited fried chicken and fried mandu. We currently don’t know of any other Korean barbeque joint that unlimitedly offers these three other protein options in addition to the usual pork and beef — all for the regular rate of P499, without any time limit.
YES Samgyupsal’s lunch promo is currently at P399 per head from 11 AM to 5 PM, until December 9, 2019. So, better seize the yummy opportunity!
YES Samgyupsal doesn’t skimp on taste either. The marinated meats were pretty good and so were the side dishes.
The place itself was clean and the service crew, friendly and attentive. So, if you happen to stumble upon this adorable pig (below) along Aguirre avenue in BF Parañaque on your next hunt for the best Samgyupsal experience, and you see it pointing you in the direction of YES Samgyupsal, don’t hesitate to walk through the doors. You won’t regret it.
YES Samgyupsal is located at 225 Aguirre Avenue, BF Homes, Parañaque. They are open from 11 AM to 12 MN. You may follow them on Facebook for more information on their services.
