It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but also possibly the most stressful. While this year’s a little different, given the fact that festivities are limited to Zoom parties, it doesn’t mean we’re putting a pause to Christmas.
If you plan on celebrating and gifting your friends and family this year but don’t have the time to think of what to get them, either because you’re too busy or you don’t know what’s out there anymore (who does?), that’s not a problem. We’ve got you covered.
Here’s a roundup of things you can get (online!) for your Zoomer buddies:

Something you should know about Zoomers: we like sustainability. Being born into a decaying planet kind of forces us to. While no one really goes out to eat anymore, you never know when you’ll find yourself in a place that still uses plastic utensils so a set like this is a great gift for anyone that wants to make a difference to the environment, no matter how small this may be.
Weighted blankets
The American Psychological Association reported that “more than nine in 10 Gen Z adults (91%) said they have experienced at least one physical or emotional symptom because of stress”. It also turns out we’ve got sleep debt, better known as sleep loss. So what do you give someone under a lot of stress and can’t fall asleep? A weighted blanket.
These blankets are filled with beads, and provide pressure to the body, which supposedly helps increase serotonin in the brain. In short, it calms you down and keeps you warm. If you know someone that might have sleeping problems, this is something you’d probably want to consider giving them.
Zodiac-themed jewelry and clothing
What’s another thing Zoomers like? Astrology. We’re all about that sun, moon, rising action (Find out why over here). Gifting your loved ones with a constellation of their sun sign (or whatever is more dominant in their chart一 maybe it’s time you start reading up on their astrology tweets) lets them know that you: 1. know that they like astrology, and 2. are thoughtful enough to remember what their sign is! Also, many zodiac-themed items are really pretty so that’s a plus, too.
Something handmade and heartfelt
Whether it’s a piece of artwork or food or whatever it is you might wanna make, surely the person you’re gifting will appreciate something that’s made by you. This works especially if you don’t have the funds to buy gifts and if you’re feeling crafty!
Some stuff you might wanna consider are: cookies, scented candles, charms and jewelry, digital art (if you don’t think you can make these yourself, why not commission some local artists to paint or draw something?).
There are plenty of other things you can get your friends and family but these are just a few ideas that might help you get that brain running for when you try to come up with that gift-giving list. Hope it helped!
